It’s almost time.

I’ve finally finished my MCU marathon (in chronological order), to prepare myself for the end of an epic era. To be honest, I still don’t feel like I’m ready to say goodbye, but after revisiting everything, I have to applaud Marvel (and Disney obvs) for creating such an incredible and beautiful universe. And of course, I have to give a standing ovation for our dearest king, Stan Lee. Excelsior!

If I stop and think about the gravity of it all I actually end up crying, so instead of mourning I decided to celebrate the MCU in my own little way – Disney Style. For the past week, I have been Disneybounding the original Avengers – all from my own closet. No shopping. No borrowing even. I have to admit it was pretty challenging, but really fun.

If you don’t know what Disneybounding is, it’s when you dress like a certain character by incorporating colors/placement of colors instead of wearing the actual costume. This makes it easier to dress like a kid without non-believers ever finding out that you’re basically a Disney character traipsing around the real world. *wink*

So, here’s my Disneybounding take on the original 6 heroes.

Day 1 – Captain America

There’s no Avenger quite like the first for me. Steve is everything. He’s my true hero. He makes every decision based on what is just and what is right. So of course he was first on my list.

For Cap, I picked out this red and white striped bodysuit, as well as my navy blue linen trousers and my navy blue cardigan. Added a white belt to tie the whole thing together. What makes this fun for me is without the bodysuit, this could actually pass as a regular office ensemble.

“I don’t like bullies; I don’t care where they’re from.” – Captain America

Day 2 – Iron Man

This gold skirt has served so many Disneybounding uses for me. Lol. But Tony has always been quite extravagant, so I just went with it and embraced the glam look with this red hot fitted blazer, and this gold necklace.

“Following’s not really my style.” – Iron Man

Day 3 – Hulk

Ah, something much more relaxed for our dear Dr. Banner. Although I have to admit, this is the only piece of purple clothing I own so it’s not like I had much of a choice lol. Green isn’t really my color either, so I just went with this  pastel green scarf I had lying around.

“Puny God” – Hulk

Day 4 – Black Widow

It is currently summer in Manila. Which means it is ridiculously hot outside, but quite cool inside with airconditioning. So I couldn’t very well wear a full leather pantsuit. Instead I went with this black bustier top, black high waisted jeans, and this surprisingly lightweight soft leather blazer. Everything is quite fitted, so the outfit still gives off that bad ass Natasha vibe.

“I’m multitasking” – Black Widow

Day 5 – Thor

Another pretty casual look, except for the sparkly black and silver skirt. I figured I still had to put a little Son of Odin, God of Thunder in this outfit, so of course I went with something shiny. Kept the top pretty simple with this grey fitted shirt, then for mother’s drapes – I put on this deep red scarf.

“Fortunately, I am mighty!” -Thor

Day 6 – Hawkeye

This was a little tough at first because nothing really made this that different from my Black Widow bound, until I remembered the touches of purple. So I used the same black high waisted jeans, then put on this dark purple cropped top and this suede biker jacket that’s less fitted and more structured, much like Hawkeye’s armor.

“Just can’t seem to miss” – Hawkeye

Day 7 – Bonus! Classic Cap

Like I said, Cap is my favorite Avenger of all time, so of course I had to bound him to close off the week! Here’s my take on the classic Captain America uniform. Bright blue high waisted pants, the same red and white bodysuit, a bright red cardigan, and for the full vintage effect, a striped headscarf.

“I’m with you until the end of the line.”
Captain America

So here we are, just a couple of days away from what could arguably be the most anticipated finale of all time! I’ve got my tickets ready for the first show of the day, and I cannot wait to see how this incredible journey will come to a close. Let’s do this Avengers! One last time.
