Truly Magical: New Year’s Eve Disney Lookbook

It’s the end of another decade.

I cannot believe how quickly time has passed, and how much has happened this past year. I’ll save my recap for a different blog post, but for now, I’d like to share my last lookbook for 2019!

I’ve done so many of these for the past months that I can’t even keep track anymore. It’s been a busy time for the blog, and to be honest, out of all the monthly series I have done here – Disney Capsule Wardrobe, Affordable Disney, and Style to Bound to Cosplay – these Truly Magical Lookbooks are my favorite. So I thought it was only fitting to end the year with one.

Since I celebrate pretty much everything with Disney Style now, I figured I’d welcome 2020 the same way. With fun, dreams, and magic – which is exactly what I hope the next decade will bring.

Disney Capsule Wardrobe: Christmas Edition

Christmas is here!!! I can’t believe how quickly this day has come. I feel like I just put my decorations up even though that was actually way back in September. And I am honestly not ready to say goodbye to the lights and tinsel yet.

Dressing up for Christmas is one of the highlights of the season for me too, with all the red, green, plaid, and sparkle. It just makes me so happy picking out all the festive prints and styles, and doing all sorts of equally festive activities in them – even if it’s as simple as wearing an ugly Christmas sweater with some cozy PJs to binge-watch sappy Holiday movies. So before I say goodbye to my favorite time of the year, I put together a little Disney Holiday lookbook of outfits I’ve been wearing through the season, using some of my Christmas staple pieces.

Now, I know this will be a lot less than the number of looks I’ve done for my Disney Capsule Wardrobe blogs in the past (which I’ll link down below). But this past month has been so overwhelming, this is really all I had time to do.

So instead of creating 20 outfits from 10 pieces, I will instead show 6 pieces that I styled in 12 different ways – two Holiday outfits per piece.

Truly Magical: Star Wars Lookbook

TODAY’S THE DAY! I’ve got my movie passes, my lightsaber, my Disneybounds, snacks, tissues. I think I’ve got everyhing ready. I don’t think I’ve forgotten anything, have I? Oh, I know. My heart. My heart is the only thing that is not prepared for this. Ahh. I. am. freaking. out.

Okay before I go full on Kylo out of excitement and start randomly hitting things with my lightsaber, let’s break this down into manageable steps shall we? Lol. Staying calm. I am one with the Force and the Force is with me.

Star Wars Lookbook

The Rise of Skywalker is here, and you guys know what that means where I’m concerned – a #trulymagicallookbook dedicated to the movie. Or movies, I should say.

Star Wars has so much lore under its belt now – what with 3 trilogies, 2 spinoffs, TV series, games, Disney+, and now even a whole theme park, that it was so hard to narrow down the looks I wanted to do for this. But in the end I decided to keep it simple and whittle it down to five: Jedi, Sith, Rebel Pilot, Droid, and Trooper.

So without further ado, to a galaxy far, far away we go.

The Basics: Women of Star Wars (Style to Bound to Cosplay)

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is showing in just a few days! I cannot believe this trilogy is coming to a close. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was sitting in the theater cheering with what felt like the entire galaxy when that blue text appeared on screen for the first time in years. Lightsabers were in the air, ecstatic screams filled the cinema, buckets of tears were shed. And just like that, it’s over. Another era is coming to an end.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, I’ve decided to do Star Wars week over on my Instagram and on this blog – starting with this one. In honor of the 3 trilogies, I’ve decided to dedicate this month’s SBC (Style to Bound to Cosplay) blog to 3 women – one from each generation of the films.

Katsie Disney Style: Affordable Disney (Divisoria Mall)

I know it’s been a minute and a half since I last posted, but short life update: it’s been pretty crazy on the work front. Suffice to say that a couple of years since starting my company, we can finally, happily celebrate the fact that we opened the first and only licensed Harry Potter store in the country. I couldn’t be prouder – a passion project and a dream fulfilled. Just goes to show that magic does exist: in the form of hard work, dedication, and love. Now that I’ve got Potter down, hopefully my Disney dreams will come true as well – which brings me back to this blog. Lol.

Now that I’ve explained why I’ve been away, let me explain my first entry back. In case you guys have forgotten, one of the monthly blogs I do is called Affordable Disney, where I take one locally sourced Disney item and style it in five different ways. Because of the scheduling conflicts I mentioned earlier, I only managed to get in 3 outfits this time. However, this one is still pretty special since it is themed to the most wonderful time of the year.
