Endgame

It’s almost time.

I’ve finally finished my MCU marathon (in chronological order), to prepare myself for the end of an epic era. To be honest, I still don’t feel like I’m ready to say goodbye, but after revisiting everything, I have to applaud Marvel (and Disney obvs) for creating such an incredible and beautiful universe. And of course, I have to give a standing ovation for our dearest king, Stan Lee. Excelsior!

If I stop and think about the gravity of it all I actually end up crying, so instead of mourning I decided to celebrate the MCU in my own little way – Disney Style. For the past week, I have been Disneybounding the original Avengers – all from my own closet. No shopping. No borrowing even. I have to admit it was pretty challenging, but really fun.

If you don’t know what Disneybounding is, it’s when you dress like a certain character by incorporating colors/placement of colors instead of wearing the actual costume. This makes it easier to dress like a kid without non-believers ever finding out that you’re basically a Disney character traipsing around the real world. *wink*

Toontown Bound

Okay, so this next one isn’t necessarily a bound, but more of a Disney style ensemble. It takes me back to those days as a kid where I’d go to the parks in a Mickey shirt and a hat and call it a day. This is what I would call a “ride day” outfit, because it’s practical for a whole day of gallivanting around the parks (not that I go on that many rides lol)

A Very Mickey Christmas

Disney AND Christmas together? I’m here for it.

IMG_4336.JPG

This year has definitely been a Disney year for me. I was fortunate enough to visit the parks more than usual with some very special people, I made a ton of new magical friends, I got to use its music to reach some young and beautiful souls, and the whole world celebrated Mickey’s 90th year with a bang.

So to cap off my very Disney 2018, I put together a little Holiday Lookbook by styling one Christmassy plaid skirt, in six different Mickey ways.

Practically Perfect

I don’t know about you, but I am sooo ready to see Mary Poppins Returns! The trailer alone brings back all the wonderful childhood feels, and knowing that in a few days I’ll get to see it remade on the big screen fills my heart with so much joy.

“Winds in the east, there’s a mist coming in, like something is brewing, about to begin.”

In honor of our dear old Mary, I put a few Disneybound ideas together to wear to the premiere – or in everyday life really. I mean, I probably would. Mary Poppins is fashion goals.

Live Your Dream

Ever since I was a kid, I’d had two favourite Princesses: Belle and Cinderella. Belle because I could relate to her most, and Cinderella because she just represented the ultimate Disney Princess for me. But lately one other Princess has been climbing my list. With her hair.

Punzie.

I can count on one hand the number of situations I am truly able to sit still. When I’m reading, and when I’m eating. That’s pretty much it. I can’t even Netflix and chill without looking for something else to do mid-movie. I just like to keep myself busy – my friends would say ridiculously so. I can pretty much sing, dance, sew, read, work, and paint all in one morning, and still feel bored. So when I heard Rapunzel’s When Will My Life Begin I thought, wow. This girl gets me.

Three Magical Days (Day 3)

IMG_6873.JPG

Just because there were only 2 day park tickets in our package, it didn’t mean we were only going to limit ourselves to two days of Disney fun! Since we took a late flight home, we decided to make ample use of our last day.

I made three sets of outfits for the three Disney resorts in Hong Kong Disneyland. Because by golly we were going to hang out in all of them!

*If you don’t know what I’m talking about, maybe start with Day 1 here, and Day 2 here.

Three Magical Days (Day 2)

IMG_7169.JPG

When I made the itinerary for this trip, I took outfits into account because, well because that’s just who I am. I love dressing people up, and I love taking pictures of the clothes I’ve made and the outfits I’ve put together.

So if Day 1 was meant for rides, parades, and exploring every inch of the park, Day 2 was meant for Disneybounding, watching shows, and picture taking. And well, that’s exactly what we did.

 * If you’re just tuning in now, I’ll link Day 1 right here.
