It’s been a hot minute since I last posted. Life’s been crazy on the work front, but I have a few more adventures to share. So here is the next installment of this Tokyo Disney Style blog.
Picking up right where I left off, after our DisneySea shenanigans, off to Disneyland we went. Our first stop, Hundred Acre Wood!
Pooh’s Hunny Hunt has got to be one of my absolute favorite rides in Tokyo Disneyland. Since we’re not big fans of rollercoasters, we love fun, trackless rides like this one. And after seeing Christopher Robin, Pooh definitely holds a special, beautiful place in our hearts. I’m not crying. You’re crying.
“Any day spent with you is my favorite day. So, today is my new favorite day.”
—Winnie the Pooh
If you’ve been to Tokyo Disneyland, you’ll know that it probably has the largest collection of Pooh merchandise in any of the parks. We were in Pooh Heaven. And right outside this store is this idyllic little cottage, where you can practically see Christopher Robin going on all sorts of adventures. So we obviously needed to take photos of our Disneybounds in the area.
As with pretty much everything we watch, we assigned each other characters that most suited our personalities. I have to admit, I was never a Pooh fan as a child. But after watching Christopher Robin, I did a complete 180. The heartwarming homey tale of this adorable kid and his friends was everything I didn’t know my adult heart needed.
“People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.” —Winnie-the-Pooh
So here’s my take on one of my absolute favorite characters ever. A red sweater, a mustard yellow corduroy skirt, brown boots, and this adorable round Pooh purse,.
This has got to be one of the most darling Disneybounds I’ve ever done. I felt so warm and fuzzy in this. And just look at those vibrant colors! I felt like I stepped out of a children’s book.
And these ears were just so much fun to make! The bees and the Hunny Pot I made out of Polymer clay.
“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
—Winnie the Pooh
Truer words could not have been said. Just look at our adorable Piglet.
Her pink puffer jacket was the perfect nod to Piglet’s stripey top.
And her bright pink ears added just the right amount of contrast to this baby pink outift.
It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.
– Eeyore
And she found just that. Look at that bright, sunny smile! Not often seen on the real Eeyore, but often seen on ours.
My favorite part about this fluffy grey ensemble has got to be her furry grey pants. What a perfect find!
This expression was real, btw. We couldn’t have planned it better ourselves.
“After all, one can’t complain. I have my friends.”
— Eeyore
Another perfect day of adventuring with my Hundred Acre Wood pals. Although this may be our last Disneybounding post, we’ve still got a couple of Disney outfit posts coming up. And the next ones are my favorites.
If you’ve missed my last blog posts, you can find them all here:
Part I: Dogs of Disney
Part II: Arendelle
Part III: Steamboat Willie
Til next time!
Love,
Pooh, Piglet. and Eeyore
