Practically Perfect

I don’t know about you, but I am sooo ready to see Mary Poppins Returns! The trailer alone brings back all the wonderful childhood feels, and knowing that in a few days I’ll get to see it remade on the big screen fills my heart with so much joy.

“Winds in the east, there’s a mist coming in, like something is brewing, about to begin.”

In honor of our dear old Mary, I put a few Disneybound ideas together to wear to the premiere – or in everyday life really. I mean, I probably would. Mary Poppins is fashion goals.

Spoonful of Sugar

I grew up idolizing Julie Andrews. In fact to this day I believe she is actually a Queen of a secret kingdom. She makes everything she wears so elegant (with an element of fun of course), and this classic Mary look may be my absolute favorite. I didn’t have a straw hat so I went with this cloche one that I’ve had forever, stuck on some flowers, and slapped on her classic red bowtie. I’m ready for my medicine sugar now.

Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I! Here’s my take on Mary’s beautiful white dress. Went with this lace one and topped it off with a couple of red bows. And of course I needed a parasol, it would be atrocious to Disneybound this without one. (Yes that is a child’s parasol. No it does not bother me.)

It’s Wonderful to See You

And since Mary Poppins is returning with a brand new spin on a classic look, I decided to do my last Disneybound in honor of our modern Mary. I love all the polkadots, blues, and reds I’ve been seeing in the trailer so far, so I picked out items in my closet that I thought represented this new Mary best.

“Anything can happen if you let it.”

Just a few days more and we’ll all be flying that kite! See you soon Mary Poppins!
