Disney Capsule Wardrobe: Summer Edition

I’ve been asked many times how I plan my Disney outfits both in and out of the parks. A lot of people think I never repeat my Disney pieces, but that isn’t true at all! In fact, I love reworking my clothes in new ways, and it’s one of the things I enjoy doing most.

To show you how simple it is to make the most out of your Disney wardrobe, I’ve decided to start another monthly series on this blog: The Disney Capsule Wardrobe. (That’s two you can look forward to now: the other is my Disneybound vs Disney Style series)

For this first edition, we’re focusing on summer outfits. So for any of you who are planning a trip to the parks this summer, or who simply want to breathe a little magic into your day to day style, keep reading!

The first thing you want to consider when making your capsule wardrobe is color. Make sure that you have a solid palette so it’s easier to pair your outfits in several ways. I went for the classic Mickey colors here – red, white, and black.

The next thing, is fabric. I chose light and airy options that can withstand walking under the sun and the rain, as well as some denim pieces for durability.

I also found that the easiest way to do this was to pick 5 bottoms and 5 tops. I styled 10 pieces to create a total of 20 outfits. Also kept the accessories simple and minimal, and picked out shoes that would last leisurely strolls in the Disney resorts, long walking days in the parks, and those unexpected strong summer showers.

Once all the planning was done, it was all a matter of playing with style and putting everything together. So, here you are – 20 Disney Summer looks:

Phew. 20 outfits was no joke, but I had an absolute blast doing this! And I hope you will too!

Whether you have limited room in your suitcase, or you simply want to get more creative with your everyday Disney style, please remember that it doesn’t take an extensive wardrobe to make dressing Disney everyday fun. All you need is a little imagination and pixie dust!
