Katsie Disney Style: Affordable Disney (Forever 21)

My first Affordable Disney blog for the year is here!

And this one is pretty fun, since I’m doing this themed to my birthday – which was actually on the 4th, but it’s still my birthday month so this counts right? Right. Lol.

In case you haven’t read any of my Affordable Disney blogs before (I’ll link the previous ones at the end), this is a monthly series I do where I style 1 locally-sourced Disney piece 5 different ways. But this month, I thought I’d switch it up a bit with 1 regular item styled 5 different Disney ways.

And I chose these pink corduroy high-rise flare pants from Forever 21, which cost Php1,650 (roughly $33). They’re super comfy and stretchy and I absolutely love the color! Although they come in tan too if pink isn’t your thing.

Speaking of pink, since it is sort of a birthday style blog, I themed this AD (Affordable Disney) installment to my power color. So expect to see a whole lot of pinks and rose golds!

Just taking a moment to say, I love these pants. Lol. Most flared pants I find aren’t normally as high waisted, that’s why I am obsessed with these! They come up right where I want them to, and the flares are larger than my dreams, man. So retro, so dang cool.

So for my first look, I decided to go full on hippie with a white and pink floral embroidered peasant top, espadrille wedges, and a pink suede floppy hat. And to make it Disney, I added my favorite Loungefly pink Minnie bag!

Kicks

For my second fit, I wanted to reuse my favorite Mickey sweater of all time. I mean, just look at it. It has Mickeys on the sleeves, it’s sooo cozy and soft, and it’s in my favorite color! How adorable is that?? French tucked that beauty, and kept the fit simple with my version of the millennial pink ears, and my white and pink Mickey kicks – as they’d say in the 70s. (If you want to see them in all their glory, I’ll show them in my stories today!)

Disco Queen

IMG_9661.jpg

I am just about ready to boogie in this outfit! I mean, I got the whole disco queen ball look down already. Lol.

Well, I am nothing if not extra, so I brought out my rose gold staples for this – my off shoulder top and ears, both of which I made for a couple of different birthday trips. Loved putting a 70s twist to them for this look! Closed the outfit off with some pink heels that matched my pants perfectly.

Groovy

Kept things casual and cool in my white cami bodysuit, and this pink Disney Princess bomber jacket. (If you haven’t seen this before, this is actually part of a pair. I gave my mom the Disney Queen one, which you can see here). Paired it with another pink sequined pair of ears I made (one of the first, hence the uneven stitching lol), and some tan suede ankle boots.

Far Out!

IMG_9665.jpg

And last but not least – went all out, far out in this rainbow cropped button up that I French tucked, my blush pink baker boy cap, and some rose gold aviators. Tied the whole look together with my pink Minnie crossbody, and the same pink heels as before.

Also if you didn’t notice, I was also wearing my rose gold Pandora charm bracelet throughout this lookbook, that my mom gave me as part of her Christmas gifts. Since I’m not much of a jewelry person, I always said that I’d wear a Pandora bracelet with one charm, ONLY if it was rose gold, and ONLY if the charm was Disney. And she finally found me one, which was so sweet of her!

If you want to see a close up, I’ll have all of the Disney pieces I mentioned in my stories today. Let me know if this is something you guys would like me to start doing more often.
